The theme of my projects was to capture celebrations of life. Be it in sports or everyday people and even animals. I aim to show that there is a silver lining to every struggle and that the power of will is an underestimated thing

Contributed to Republic Polytechnic’s monthly OSG (office of students and graduate affairs) online newsletter regarding the school’s Dragon Boating team in recent international race. Article covered the preparation, training and performance of the team in the race as well as future endeavours.
SG50: Pioneer generation feature Story (Nightmare in the twilight years), December 2014
Feature story to tie in with SG50 celebration. Story angle covered the pioneer generation of Singaporeans who had worked to build the nation and are currently facing adversity even in their golden years.
SPCA "Rising amount of abandoned pets in Singapore" Photo Essay, December 2015
A Photo essay graded assignment piece centred on the issue of the rising amount of abandoned pets in Singapore. Went down to the local Society For The Prevention of Cruelty To Animals (SPCA) to have a first-hand look at what actually happens to the abandoned animals and hear some first-hand stories from volunteers and workers. Took photographs of the shelter and animals on site to capture their situation and living conditions in hopes of educating and informing the public in hopes of raising awareness.

Gritty, cold, raw. We review Alejandro G. Iñárritu latest film, The Revenant! Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy, The Revenant tells the amazing true story of Hugh Glass and his heroic tale of survival in the American Wilderness. Already being hailed as one of the movies of the year, we explore the themes of the period drama.

A broadcast piece done as part of an industry project for the Media Practicum module where my team approached the SPCA to interview Animal Care offices to learn of their motivation and reasons of why they took up the job.

Broadcast journalism story featuring Kalai Vanen, Singapore's very first Paralympic powerlifter. Learn about the 56 year old's motivations as he recounts his journey of overcoming physical limits in a true show of will power.
